ABOUT J+G ENGINEERING: HISTORY OF THE FIRM

1 Nate Jabs and Jason Greer began their professional relationship working in the MEP department of a full service A/E firm in Arlington, VA in 2015.   

2 Nate left northern Virginia to continue his career at an MEP firm in Charleston, SC in 2016.

3 After moving to Charleston, SC with his family in 2016, Jason began looking for a new opportunity in 2017. Based on Nate’s recommendation, Jason joined the firm where he worked.

4 Nate moved to Waynesboro, VA and Jason moved back to northern Virginia. When the world changed in 2020, both Nate and Jason began to reconsider their life and career as many Americans did. The idea of J+G Engineer was born from that reflection.


J+G ENGINEERING COMPANY PROFILE

J+G Engineering is a full-service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting firm that was established in January 2022. The firm is owned and operated by Nate Jabs, PE and Jason Greer, PE, LEED AP — giving the firm 22 years of combined MEP engineering experience in both public and private commercial building sectors on projects ranging from light commercial office buildings, K-12, higher education, multi-family housing, restaurants, healthcare, laboratory, and federal DOD facilities. J+G Engineering is focused on providing our clients with innovative and energy efficient engineering solutions that meet the clients’ project requirements, schedule, and budget.

Nate Jabs, PE

Mr. Jabs is a licensed mechanical engineer with eight years of experience. He has led and managed mechanical and  plumbing engineering designs for new construction and renovation projects.

As a project manager, Mr. Jabs has managed MEP projects  from pre-design through construction. His range of projects include new construction, renovations, energy modeling, and facility assessments of federal and local government, military, healthcare, laboratory, K-12, higher education, corporate office facilities, multi-family, and restaurants.

PRINCIPAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - PARTNER​

Jason A. Greer, PE, LEED AP

Mr. Greer is a licensed electrical engineer and previously certified commissioning
professional with 13 years of experience. He has led and managed electrical engineering designs for new construction and renovation projects.

As an electrical engineer and project manager, Mr. Greer has design and managed A/E and MEP projects from pre-design through construction. As a certified commissioning professional, he was responsible for developing commissioning requirements, procedures, and execution of construction phase power distribution and emergency power, and HVAC field testing. He has also served as in-field commissioning support and performed third-party commissioning reviews.

His range of projects include new construction, renovations, power system studies, commissioning and facility assessments of federal and local government, military, healthcare, laboratory, K-12, higher education, and corporate office facilities.
